envirodri Machine Brushes and Accessories Brushes to suit all types of carpets To improve cleaning results and avoid damaging carpet, envirodri offer five types of envirodri machine brushes. Each type of brush is designed to clean a specific type of carpet fibre. All envirodri machines come equipped with standard brushes. Advantages of PBT bristles All envirodri brushes are made from the very latest PBT Polyester. This hi-tech fibre has more ‘life and memory’ than other fibres. This excellent bend recovery results in more tips cleaning the carpets, therefore dramatically improving cleaning results. All brushes can be cleaned in an autoclave up to 130ºC allowing brushes to be sterilized for hospital use. Tuft construction prevents clogging and chevron design provides a more even distribution of bristles, improving cleaning. Soft Brush The gold brush is mainly used for very delicate residential carpets where long soft fibres are found. Use on wool and wool Berber carpets to avoid damage (pilling). Intermediate Brush-Soft The gold and white bristle brush is best used for 100%, 80/20% and 50/50% wool carpets. Probably the most popular cleaning brush in the range! They are excellent for cleaning rugs such as Orientals and Persians. Standard Brush This white bristle brush is the most versatile of all the brushes, effective on both residential and commercial carpets. It can be used on virtually all carpets except for delicate wool and wool Berber carpets and rugs. Especially effective on moderately soiled cut pile carpets. Intermediate Brush – Stiff This brush has a combination of stiff and standard bristles (black and white) so that it is effective in not only cleaning moderate to heavily soiled carpets but is also effective in lifting crushed carpet pile, effective on both loop and cut pile. Stiff Brushes This black stiff bristle brush is the most aggressive brush and care must be taken not to damage carpet whilst cleaning. Excellent for heavily crushed commercial polypropylene carpets. Used predominately on heavily soiled carpets. Brush maintenance To extend the life of the brushes care should be taken to clean the machine and brush the guard regularly. When not in use, always place the machine into the tray to prevent damage to the brush bristles. Note: If pile distortion occurs, or pilling or carpet fibres are removed during the cleaning process, stop machine immediately and replace brushes with softer type to avoid damaging the carpet. envirodri machine twinning bar For large areas the envirodri twinning bar allows two machines to be linked together. One operator can do the job of two, increasing profits and reducing costs. Two envirodri machines twinned together have a cleaning width of approximately one metre, cleaning in excess of two hundred metres of carpeting per hour depending on carpet pile height and soiling.
